Directions Point SebagoDear Frank, Don, Ron & Roy ,

Thank you for deciding to gather the Metal Detecting Clubs together at Point Sebago September 7-9, 2004. I've been asked by Mary Jane Buckley to get the information on your upcoming "Beachcombers Getaway" to each of your clubs directly, so we don't lose anymore valuable time organizing this event. Point Sebago Resort, with its 775' shorefront and wooded acres can offer the ultimate meeting location for your members and we hope this can become an annual event. Just 2 hours from Boston ( 30 minutes from Portland) on Route 302, our staff epitomizes Maine hospitality with years of experience, showing a genuine interest toward each and every guest. What fun to explore our resort and meet with other folks who share the same hobby!

Part of the fun is to stay on a site near other of your friends. Until I get feedback from each of you, it's difficult to know what type of lodging your members will prefer, since we have sites, Travel Trailers, and Park Homes. (All-Inclusive Park Homes have everything, but you can bring your own linens, etc. and save money on a regular Park Home). I have been asked to hold several Travel Trailer sites, are $26.75, per night. Travel Trailers are $53.50 per unit, per night. Those prices include the tax.) Park Homes – which are $83.50 per unit, per night There are no pets allowed on the resort except on Yellow Road, and pets must stay on that road.

There will probably be a time you'd like to gather in a large group to organize, etc. I will provide that room for the initial meeting. Should you want additional meeting space, I will look into any cost based on the number of people and other factors. As I understand it, you prefer to cook your meals independently to keep costs down. We have a great restaurant, and if you decide to have even few prepared meals, I will be happy to give you a quote after learning what you'd like.

Point Sebago Amenities at additional cost:

· AV rentals available upon prior request. (List on website)
· 1 hr. cruise on the 95 passenger Point Sebago Princess ($250 1st hr)
· Hourly rental of nonmotorized boats ($8 per boat per hour)
· Award winning 18-hole championship golf course, considered one of Maine's finest.
· Vendor Set-ups
· Bartender Set-up
· Organized Team-Building Activities

Most importantly, we need to get a handle on how many from each group. Then the individuals need to call themselves to secure their lodging reservation.

They should first state they are with The Beachcombers Getaway, so they are given the special areas I've put on hold. They will need to put down a 50% deposit within a few weeks. Interested guests should check out the lodging options on our website at www.pointsebago,com and also ask any specific questions when they make their reservations.

Our resort also is an inviting location for company summer outings, overnight corporate retreats and fantastic theme getaway weekends. We have a spectacular lakeside restaurant and complete meeting space for groups of up to 300. I look forward to hosting your group, but do need to get your initial responses by next week. Please write or call me at 1-800-655-1232 with questions or concerns.

Regards,
Ruth
