April 22nd, 2001, we all traveled to Charlestown Beach for our Spring Hunt. Rich planted 25 Mercury dimes and a lot of foreign coins. Everyone was eager to get started. We have lots of new members and this was their first hunt. The first picture is our "mascot" so to speak. It was handcrafted by Donald Biron and presented to the club on Sunday. Carol Kononova surprised everyone by finding a man's gold wedding band before the hunt even started. There is a picture of her taken seconds after finding the ring as she shows it to other members. The First Prize token was found by Bob Lynch and he was awarded a Tesoro Silver Sabre.
