Greg Wrightman: President and Treasurer Dave Collins: Vice President Elle Rice: Secretary Rich Rice: WebmasterThere was discussion regarding the clubs website and its importance in both keeping the club members informed about club activities and about attracting new members to the club. There was discussion regarding spring meetings and a spring hunt. We did decide that the February meeting will be held on February 13, 2005. 12:30 P.M. Cross Mills Library, Charlestown, RI. At Barbaras suggestion, everyone will bring in his or her best detecting idea, hint or demonstration to share with fellow club members.
We will also start to set up a summer events calendar and discuss whether we want to have Saturday or Sunday meetings. One idea was that we meet at 4 pm on a Saturday afternoon at the beach, hold a meeting in the parking lot and then spend the evening hunting on the beach. Please bring your ideas with you!! Other suggested ideas were attend to a coin show or auction, go to Point Sebago in Maine, ( Ed Reynolds has the contacts for this trip). Another idea is attend the treasure show in April in Keene, NH.
The March meeting will be held March 12, 2005. 12:30 P.M. Cross Mills Library. Charlestown, RI 2005 dues should be paid by this meeting. An idea for thought-should new members belong to the club for a certain period of time before attending a major hunt? Or are all welcome? What are your ideas on this subject?
