At our meeting this month, Rich gives us a demonstration on cleaning coins with a baking soda solution. After the meeting, we all went to Goddard Memorial State Park to do some detecting. The map that we are holding is recreation and picnic areas in Rhode Island from the 1940's. Tom picked it up at a flea market. The best thing found today at the beach was an 1886 Republica de Columbia in a rain wash in the woods, and a religious medal with French writing on the back.
